Mental Health Support Work

Assisting participants with personalised services to manage daily life. This includes coaching around developing self-confidence, resilience, decision-making, problem-solving, and building healthy routines and structure. Mental health support empowers individuals to gain independence in finances, housing, and employment, improving long-term wellbeing.

Social & Emotional Support

Provide companionship and emotional reassurance, helping participants manage daily stresses. Create a safe and understanding environment for expressing feelings and developing healthy coping strategies.

Daily Living Assistance

Due to mental health conditions, many participants may find daily tasks challenging. A support worker can assist with:

  • Meal preparation and planning
  • Household chores
  • Personal hygiene and self-care
  • Budgeting and financial management

Support Mental Health Recovery Goals

Each participant has unique NDIS goals for their mental health recovery. Support to achieve these may include:

  • Encouraging participation in therapy or counselling
  • Providing reminders for medication and health appointments
  • Helping develop positive habits and routines
  • Encouraging self-care practices like mindfulness and exercise

Working alongside the participants and their key stakeholders will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain control over their mental health journey.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Understanding that mental health does not exist in isolation, psychosocial interventions focus on addressing a patient's circumstances, lifestyle, relationships, and environments.

Health, Life & Transformational Coaching

As a certified coach, I find it useful to coach individuals when they get stuck from moving forward.  This can take place in person or online. I find it most beneficial when we work alongside your counselor or therapist to assist you with the work in between your regular sessions with them.

Personalised Training for Your Support Workers

Quite often NDIS participants have a lot of anxiety around the consistency, stability and knowledge of their support workers. Something I can do to assist this process is to assess your individual circumstances so I can find new and/or train your existing supports to understand your specific needs so you don't have to stress about your care, but can focus on living your life. I will work directly with your key stakeholders to assist with this process.

Logbook Data, Medication Assistance & Liaising with Key Stakeholders

Regular logbooks that are customised for your daily life is invaluable to those that work on your team. It gives everyone data and evidence to find where treatment can be adjusted. It is hard to keep these updated when you do it yourself or rely solely on support workers to do this. You can schedule a time regularly to have this done either via phone or online.

If you need assistance with medication regularly for compliance, we can schedule regular home visits for this as well.
